Reflecting back on the miners movement , for my next installation, I will be engaging with the two art forms of dance performance and set design and how they connect together to transport the audience into a different genre. I want to create a personal language within my practice combining visual art and theatre/ dance forms together to create a narrative. For the main theme of 'The Miner's movement', was based on The Battle of Orgreave which was the miner's strike. I looked at this at the movement and used my skills of dance performance and set design to create a tunnel transporting the audience into the harsh reality of 1984. At the end of the tunnel there is a short film projected showing people marching with placards. I noticed from this piece I want to create more of a link between the dance performance and the miner's. I decided for this module to look at ballet performance and their ethnicity  against the miner's to show the similarities and differences.
