The opera outlines the main character Orfeo who has lost his wife Euridice and goes on a quest to the Underworld to bring her back.

In my adaptation Orfeo suffers with Dementia which is a disease thats affects the brain and deteriorates the memory, thinking and behaviour. Throughout Orfeo is still on the same journey to bring back his love Euridice to the living but the Dementia takes a toll on his reality.
